The Coupons submodule in the Revenue module allows you to create promo codes that guests can use when booking through your direct booking engine. You can define rules like stay dates, creation windows, usage limits, and more.
🧭 Accessing the Coupons Submodule
- Go to:
Revenue → Coupons
- Use the filter bar to search for existing coupons by:
- Property / Area / Room Type
- Date ranges
- Discount type or status
- Channels or keyword
➕ Creating a New Coupon
- Click “+ Add Coupon”
- Complete the following fields:
🔹 Required Fields:
- Name – Internal name of the coupon
- Code – This is what the guest will enter (e.g., SUMMER24)
- Booking Stay Between – Stay period this applies to
- Booking Created Between – When the reservation must be made
- Discount Rate – Flat percentage off (% of room night)
- Channels – Select where this promo is valid (e.g. Direct)
- Status – Enable or disable the rule
Optional Fields:
- Minimum / Maximum Stay – Set length of stay requirements
- Areas / Room Types – Limit to specific listings
- Total Usage Limit – Max redemptions across all guests
- Limit Per Guest – Max redemptions per guest
- Description – Add internal notes about promo conditions
🔁 You can apply a coupon to one or multiple properties from the same form.
🧠 How It Works
- The guest must enter the coupon code during booking
- The system verifies the eligibility: stay window, creation date, min/max stay
- If valid, the discount is applied to room rate only, before taxes and fees
⚠️ Note: Coupons do not work with OTAs. They apply only to direct bookings through the mr.alfred booking engine.
