🔗 How OTA Connections Work in mr.alfred
mr.alfred PMS supports connections to a variety of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and VRBO. However, the type of connection varies depending on whether the OTA is designed for hotels or holiday homes.
🏢 Hotel-Based OTAs: Connection Per Tower / Hotel ID
OTAs like Booking.com, Expedia, and Agoda follow a Hotel ID model:
- Each tower or property group must have its own connection.
- The connection is based on the Hotel ID assigned by the OTA.
- If you manage multiple towers or hotel buildings, you must set up a separate connection for each one.
- Property mapping must match the OTA Hotel ID structure.
Examples:
🔁 These types of connections are more structured and suitable for multi-unit or multi-room hotel properties.
🏡 Holiday Home OTAs: Connection Per Account
OTAs like Airbnb and VRBO follow an Account-Based model:
- A single connection per Airbnb or VRBO account.
- All listings under that OTA account can be pulled and mapped.
- This is ideal for hosts managing individual apartments, villas, or homes.
- Mapping is handled based on each individual listing.
Example:
⚠️ Each OTA account must be connected separately. If a host has multiple Airbnb accounts, they must connect each one individually.
