This article explains how to connect your Expedia listings to mr.alfred to sync availability and pricing automatically. The integration streamlines operations by reducing manual calendar updates and overbooking risk.

✅ Before You Start
Make sure the following is ready:
- The property is created and fully configured in mr.alfred
- Host is assigned to the property
- Markup is added in the Fees & Taxes tab
- Property listing already exists and is published on Expedia
⚠️ mr.alfred does not sync listing content such as photos or descriptions — only availability and nightly rate pricing.
🔐 Step 1: Request Connection via Expedia Partner Central
- Log in to your Expedia Partner Central
- Go to Rooms and Rates > Connectivity Settings
- Under Find a Connectivity Provider, search for Channex
- Select it and click Connect
- Choose what data should be synced (Availability, Rates)
- Submit your connection request
🔑 Step 2: Authenticate Expedia in mr.alfred
After the connection is approved:
- Go to:
Sales Channels → Add Connection
- Select Expedia from the list of supported OTAs
- Select the Communities from mr.alfred and add Hotel ID from Expedia to sync
- mr.alfred will pull your active Expedia listings within that Hotel ID
🗂️ Step 3: Map Your Listing
- mr.alfred will pull your active Expedia listings
- Match each Expedia listing with the corresponding property in your PMS
- Mapping enables automatic syncing of availability and pricing

💵 Step 4: Set Up Markup for Expedia
- By default, mr.alfred syncs the nightly rate price of the property
- To adjust the pricing for Expedia, configure a markup % in the property’s Fees & Taxes tab
Example: Net price in PMS is $100. You want Expedia guests to pay $120. Set a 20% markup for Expedia.
🔁 What’s Synced Automatically?
mr.alfred syncs:
- Calendar availability
- Base price and nightly rate
- Minimum stay restrictions, prep time rules and availability ahead of time by community
Not synced:
- Photos, amenities, descriptions
- Fees & taxes
- Promotions or discounts
🚫 Common Issues
- Not submitting connection request from Expedia → PMS cannot authenticate
- Mapping skipped → No sync enabled
- Markup not configured → Expedia shows net rates to guests
- Listing not published in Expedia → Property won’t appear for mapping
