Setting Up a Channel Connection
Step 1: Navigate to the Sales Channels Module
- Go to the Sales Channels module within your PMS.
- Here, you’ll find options to enable and configure connections to Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
Step 2: Add a New Channel Connection
- Click Add Connection to begin setting up your desired OTA connection.
- Depending on the channel type:
- Hotel-specialized channels (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda): You’ll need to input Hotel IDs to complete the setup.
- Vacation rental platforms (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO): No Hotel ID is required.
Step 3: Community Selection (if applicable)
- For channels like Booking.com, Expedia, and Agoda, you’ll need to select the Community (group of buildings) under which your properties are listed.
- A new channel connection must be created per the listings grouped under a specific Hotel ID in these cases, so it is recommended to name the connection after the community or Hotel ID for reference
Step 4: Save the Connection & Configure Settings
- Once the connection is saved, additional configuration options will appear.
- Start with the Mapping tab:
- Map each property listed on the OTA to its corresponding property in the PMS.
- Save your changes once mapped.
- Next, go to the Channel Settings tab:
- Configure the markup percentage for the selected channel.
- Save your changes.
Step 5: Activate the Connection
- Once all configurations are complete, open the Actions Menu and select Activate.
- Your property is now fully synced with the channel.
Special Instructions for Airbnb
- If a property does not exist in the PMS, you can pull the listing directly from Airbnb into the PMS using the Pull Property feature.
- After the property is pulled:
- Map the property as explained in Step 4.
- Activate the channel connection as instructed in Step 5.
